A French, woven jacquard cushion cover. It is based on an embroidered silk design by Henry Dearle in 1890.
The symbolism of the acanthus leaf as a perennial plant is recurring life. In ancient Greece, it symbolized life emerging from death. In Christianity it represented resurrection. The thorns of the plant also symbolize sin.

Gently vacuum every 6 months, dry clean only, if needed.
